The staff is friendly but just average skill level for speech therapy, OT, PT. They contract out for speech therapy. They just have nothing special to bring to the table. And the activities are very average--nothing that sets it apart. One plus is that Park Manor is in a friendly town with friendly people--and it gets good community support.

As fate would have it, I came to Meadows from Geisinger. Since then I have undergone extensive physical and occupational therapy. Shortly after coming here, I moved to the Meadows Manor.

The accommodations themselves are quite nice and very safe, not to mention warm and inviting.

I did not want to ask her any more questions. My family member has brain cancer and is on hospice, she can not move. I hope this is not any indication how this facility is ran.

We feel that Involvement in community programs and activities is important in supporting our neighborhood but it's also crucial for residents to feel invested in their local community. I chose Manorcare Health Services for my mom because it was close to my grandmother's house and I knew some people who used to work there and she referred them. The rooms were clean, big enough for two people and she shared it with another resident. The staff was very good, professional and they communicated with you. I had been pleased by the care she got because she gained weight since she moved in.
I liked that the staff interacted with the family member and they contacted me before they did anything to her. Every month they called and gave an evaluation. I had not eaten there but she seemed to like the food. I thought that she needed more activities for stimulation because she was a high-functioning individual. As a Continuing Care Retirement Community , we provide services that will enhance everyday life in the relaxed atmosphere of a congenial community.
I will keep a watchful eye out on my love one because it's going down If they do anything wrong. We feel that social stimulation, exercise, nutrition and proper medication management are crucial to happy residents and a fulfilled community. Pleasant Manor also allows residents that a physically and mentally able to care for their pets to bring them to with them to nursing home.
